UPDATE - 3:54pm
An anonymous commenter left an interesting note at the end of this post, suggesting that the accusatory ex-girlfriends were in the wrong, and that Deutsch knew more about the matter than we are lead to believe.
This leads to a point that I was going to include in the original post but was saving for later. I get the impression that Deutsch does not really mind all the mishegas surrounding him. To have an ex-girlfriend - an attractive one at that - be so thorough in her obsession over him that she would allegedly tap into the voicemails of his current girlfriends is in some ways flattering. Deutsch left such a lasting impression on the lady that she just had to cyberstalk him. Sounds grotesque, sure, but one could argue that it's better than having a lady completely forget about you.
It's reminiscent of the man (not a Gentleman, mind you) who watches from the sidelines his girlfriend fight and pull the hair of another girl before stepping in and stopping it. It's a bit of an ego-stroke, but only a scoundrel would allow for it to happen (or worse, wager on it).
Then again, we have so many online avenues - like facebook, asmallworld, NY Social Diary - that permits a person to keep tabs on their ex-lovers, albeit in a semi-innocuous (and anonymous) fashion. Does this mean this is permissible? Not entirely. In the event that Wise is guilty of the charges levied against her, one could argue that she just went one foolish step beyond that - wanting to stay abreast of the going-ons of her ex-loves in a more thorough and unconstitutional manner. Nevertheless, like our anonymous commenter suggests, there is more to the story than what has initially been reported on.
More anon,

Fair Reader,
1) Chum and fellow Gentleman HomoNeurotic released his list of "10 Things Every Bachelor Owns." I found this list to be applicable to all Gents, and not just for those who like to kiss other Gents.
2) This Ali Wise saga, although in no ways related the way of the Gentleman - lest a Gentleman have an ex who is thorough in keeping tabs with who and what he is doing, post-relationship - is still magnificently entertaining.
The back story goes that Dolce & Gabbana publicist Ali Wise was arrested last week on felony charges of hacking into another woman's voicemail account by using Spoofcard software. The other woman, interior designer Nina Freudenberger, dated Josh Deutsch, an ex-boyfriend of Wise's. Freudenberger believes that Wise has been targeting women who are, or have been, dating her ex-boyfriends.
Today it is revealed that another lady who dated Deutsch also received threatening phone calls from Wise. Fashion designer Briana Rasinski says that Wise would always phone her whenever she and Deutsch were together, going so far as to warn not to get on a plane with Deutsch prior to a planned trip to the Grammys in LA. Wise is due in court in October.
I have talked about this with a few female friends, all of whom reflexively label Wise as "a psycho bitch." As for EtG: Although I do find her actions to be a tad off and entirely indefensible, they nevertheless remain entertaining. She may be psychotic, but at least she's doing it the proper way (read - without stabbings).
A presto,
EtG

pretty close to the story and lets just say, this is not the WHOLE story. The ex's girls are in the wrong. They called and emailed Ali and her boyfriend Pomeranc numerous times and they had to investigate where the fake emails were coming from. The Fake emails were traced back to at least one of the jealous girls making this claim. Two wrongs do not make a right but this is not the full story. These girls should be careful about lying to the press and police. I think they just ruined their credibility. from what i hear the ex boyfriend knew about all of this when happening. Personally think this is all alot of stupid nonsense.
This is all very interesting, although this is the first I am hearing about "fake emails" and the like. Drop me an email at edthegent@gmail.com and we can talk about this under strict anonymity.

Part 1) 10 THINGS EVERY BACHELOR OWNS
#4. Spare Toothbrush.
This has been a staple part of any "home game" as of late. Yours truly has a host of pre packaged disposable toothbrushes (with toothpaste already handily applied.)
Let me just say: this cuts both ways. What the host may think is a courteous and sanitary gesture for his house-guest, can frequently elicit the opinion that said host is a hopeless cad.
A fascinating story - to say the least! The word "story" (that "Anonymous" uses in her post, aka, fairy tale, fable, fiction)...all are one in the same.Good luck Anonymous, aka someone trying to be Ali Wise. Very clever....except all of us daily readers saw right through it. Maybe help her find a new job?
